We've just gotten an e-mail from Arny Schorr, the President of S'more Entertainment, telling us about a few of their upcoming DVD releases, including a couple of TV-DVD's licensed from DiC Entertainment. October 16th sees The Littles - The Complete Series on a five disc set. Here's Arny's info about the release:
On October 16, S'more will be releasing "The Littles" with all 29 episodes in a 5 DVD box priced at $39.99. The TV series was based on a successful book series, read by millions of children since the initial book printing in 1967.
What made the "The Littles" such a compelling show is that In their quest to become productive adults, the Littles kids and their full sized human friend Henry face the same kinds of problems that young children face every day - issues of friendship, jealousy, honesty, prejudice, consideration for others, kindness, responsibility, risk-taking. Each episode of "The Littles" focuses on one such issue, presenting it in explicit, concrete terms. And young, attractive characters with whom children can identify carry out these actions, serving as excellent role models for young viewers. Younger and older children, boys and girls, loners and social butterflies...all can find a character with whom to identify and from whom to learn.
