Last month we
had the scoop that
Little House on the Prairie - The Complete Television Series is coming to DVD on
November 4th, from ImaVision and distributed by Lionsgate. It will include tons of
all-new bonus material to accompany every episode of the program's run, including the post-series telefilms. But what fans have been wanting to know is whether the episodes will be the same edited cuts seen on the previous season set releases, or would they be included "as broadcast."
Now, thanks to reader "Missy M.," we have the answer. Missy tells us her husband wrote to Imavision and asked this very question. We hadn't had any luck getting the right people on the phone, but the e-mail "Mr. M." sent was quickly answered by the studio. According to the person that responded, the production department stated that the upcoming
Little House on the Prairie - The Complete Television Series DVD release "will use the same cuts/episodes that are currently available." The reply from ImaVision goes on to explain that those were the only versions of the episodes which had been provided to them.
