In case you
haven't heard the news, the president of NBC/Universal's production studio was quoted a couple of weeks ago as saying "
We officially have NOT canceled Lipstick Jungle." That's great info for all the fans out there of the show, and today we've got the icing on the cake for you over here!
This morning we found out that Universal Studios Home Entertainment is preparing a
May 5th release of
Lipstick Jungle - Season 2 on DVD. These 13 episodes from the show adapted from Candace Bushnell's book have James Lesure (
Las Vegas) joining the cast, and also include appearances by Mary Tyler Moore (who has
her own DVD news today!), Rosie Perez, Jill Rappaport, Dan Hedaya, Maria Thayer, Vanessa Marcil, Rosanna Arquette, Tiki Barber, Amani Toomer, David Lee, James Blake, Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford.
This 3-disc set will present the episodes in anamorphic widescreen video, with English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround audio. English subtitles will be included. There's no word yet on extras, if any, nor is there cover art yet. Pricing will apparently be $34.98 SRP, based on the early studio info we have. Stay tuned for updates!
