Back in late September we posted Warner Home Video's
press release announcing an early January release of
Life Unexpected - The Complete 1st Season on DVD. But a few weeks ago we
followed up with an
Unexpected update: the first season DVD release was off the schedule, and the studio would instead deliver a "
Complete Series" set later in the year, with both the first and second seasons together.
Now Warner has officially announced
Life Unexpected - The Complete Series, scheduling it to be available on
April 5th. The 6-DVD package will include every episode from both seasons, plus 2 Featurettes, "Life in Portland: The Making of
Life Unexpected," "Lux, Cate, Baze, Ryan & Math: The Casting of
Life Unexpected," Deleted Scenes and a Gag Reel. Video is anamorphic widescreen, audio is English Dolby Surround 5.1, and there are English subtitles as well. The running time is listed at 1118 minutes, and the cost is $59.98 SRP.
The revised package art isn't finalized yet, but an early version of it can be found below. It's essentially the previous artwork with stars Shiri Appleby, Britt Robertson and Kristoffer Polaha, but with the subtitle removed so it can eventually be replaced with the new one. The new version of the set is already available to pre-order from Amazon.com using the button link below, even though the listing doesn't display the new street date yet:
