At the end of January we
exclusively reported that Shout! Factory had acquired the DVD rights to
Leave It to Beaver, and would release the remaining seasons (3 through 6) as individual season sets, beginning with
Leave It to Beaver - Season 3 on
June 15th. At the same time, Shout! is also putting together all six seasons into one big collection, titled
Leave It to Beaver - The Complete Series. On each of these releases, the episodes will be completely restored and remastered from brand-new high-def transfers of the film.
Leave It to Beaver - The Complete Series was originally supposed to come out the same day as the third season set. But now Shout! Factory has alerted us, along with retailers, that they will need just two more weeks to finish their work on that massive 37-disc collection. So they are leaving the date for
Season 3 right where it is, on the 15th. But for
Leave It to Beaver - The Complete Series they are moving it back to
June 29th. Retailer listings, like the one at Amazon (see button link below) are already reflecting the change. Mark your calendar!
