Shokus Internet Radio has "Beaver
Fever"! On Wednesday June 23, the live edition of "Stu's Show
" (the signature talk show on the station), host Stu Shostak will pay tribute to one of the most beloved shows in television history with a star-studded program that coincides with DVD distributor Shout! Factory's June 29th release of a 37-disc ultimate set of the entire series of Leave it to Beaver
. In-studio guests will be Tony Dow ("Wally Cleaver"), Ken Osmond ("Eddie Haskell"), Frank Bank ("Lumpy Rutherford"), and from Shout! Factory, Project Producer Brian Ward. The cast members will share memories of working on the classic series, as well as offer comments about their participation in the upcoming release, which not only includes fully re-mastered versions of all 234 episodes, but also several hours of bonus materials produced exclusively for the box set. Show host and station owner Shostak was a producer/director on the project and provided some of the archival materials included on the bonus disc.
In addition to "Leave it to Beaver
," Brian Ward will discuss how Shout! Factory acquires properties from the studios for DVD distribution, what goes into the making of the sets, and will announce properties Shout! has in the works for future releases. All of the guests will be available to answer questions from the listeners via e-mail and the toll-free radio station phone number. The program will air live at 4:00 p.m. pacific time (7:00 p.m. eastern), and will rebroadcast daily at the same time through Tuesday, June 29.
