Fans of
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit have certainly had a confusing time getting their DVDs, as the folks at Universal jumped from releasing Season 1 over to Season 5, then went back and released Season 2 and most recently (this past January) Season 3. Now we're all just missing the 4th Season set to get us back on track, before the studio continues onward with the sixth, seventh and eighth season releases. We now have word that

This past Tuesday saw the release of
the original Law & Order show's fifth season DVDs, and our readers who have already picked it up tell us that there's a nice coupon inside of it. The coupon is good for $3 off the price of
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit - The 4th Year, which the coupon simply says is "Coming Soon". Since the coupon expires on the last day of 2007, though, then that means we ought to see the 4th Season DVDs month before then, possibly in the late summer/early fall timeframe (as a guess).
It's also worth mentioning here that this past Tuesday's release was in fact a widescreen aspect ratio, even though the studio info we had previously been given said it would be "full screen".
