Following NBC's recent cancellation of the long-running drama
Law & Order, it looks like Universal Studio Home Entertainment may have their eyes focused on some DVD catch-up.
Seasons 1-7 are already available, along with
Season 14 (a one-time attempt, back in 2004, to try releasing the most-recently-broadcast season, instead of keeping the DVD releases in production order). On
December 7th the studio is also shipping
The 8th Year on DVD as well. What's next?
Amazon has begun taking pre-orders for DVD releases of not one, but
2 upcoming season sets for the 20-year program!
Law & Order - The 9th Year AND
Law & Order - The 10th Year have each gotten listings at the big e-tailer which are now accepting advance orders. These listings are, prior to Universal's official announcement for the home video titles, however, so instead of a street date for either one Amazon only says "
This title has not yet been released. You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives." Pricing is available, though, currently showing $49.98 SRP each (you can, of course, guarantee your copies right away at a discounted price, if you order it using the links provided above). There are no other details available so far at Amazon's entry, nor is there cover art yet (just a promo cast picture on
