Late last month we
let you know that
Law & Order - The 8th Year was officially put on Universal's schedule for release on
December 7th. This 5-DVD set includes all 24 episodes of the 1997-1998 season of the program. We've learned, however, that the set will ALSO include a bonus epiosde: the
Homicide: Life on the Street cross-over episode "Baby, It's You - Part 2." This sixth-season
Homicide installment completes the story started in the eight-season
Law & Order episode "Baby, It's You - Part 1." Universal wanted to make sure fans had both parts of the story together on this set, just as they had for the
Homicide cross-over on
Law & Order - The 6th Year ("Charm City"/"For God and Country"). There's one more such cross-over event, which hopefully will appear on the
upcoming DVD release of
Law & Order - The 9th Year (it takes place during
Homicide's seventh and final season)...stay tuned for word about that!
