Universal is finally filling the gap between the first and third season of
Law & Order: Criminal Intent that's existed for a few years now. The studio started by releasing the first season of the series, then jumped season 2 in order to release season 3 of the series before season 4 aired. Now Universal has announced the second season for release on
December 12 one day after season 6 premiered on NBC.
The 5 disc set will include all 23 episodes on single-sided discs featuring full frame (1.33:1) video, and stereo audio, along with subtitles in English and Spanish. Don't worry about the compression on the discs; each one contains under 4 hours of content. The set will be packaged in slim cases, with an outer box, and will retail for $59.98.
The menu Universal released for the set doesn't list any extras, but the set includes 33 minutes of deleted scenes (
