One of the most watched and beloved of television westerns was Laramie, which ran from 1959-1963 and is considered by many to be one of the best family westerns of all time. Now for the first time, Timeless Media Group and NBC Universal bring you all 28 episodes of Season Three in color on 6 DVD discs, starring John Smith (Cimarron City), Robert Fuller (Wagon Train, Emergency!), Spring Byington (December Bride) and Dennis Holmes (Wagon Train).
Timeless Media Group has announced that they are bringing out
Laramie to DVD. The show ran for 4 seasons, with the first two in black-and-white and the final two in color. In fact, a new version the NBC "peacock" logo (with the voice-over stating that "
the following program is brought to you in living color") was introduced with the September 1961 debut of
Laramie - Season 3, as was the addition of Spring Byington and Dennis Holmes to the cast which also featured John Smith and Robert Fuller.
This is the season that TMG is bringing to DVD on
February 10th. Expect a 6-disc set with 28 episodes presented in full screen, with English audio. Running time is approximately 1450 minutes, for a cost of $69.98 SRP. As a bonus, you'll also get an exclusive new interview with Robert Fuller. Our thanks to the folks at TMG for the info, and also our gratitude to longtime reader Bob Huggins for alerting us to this title. Here's a look at the front cover art:
