Doing their bit for the war! Set in rural England during the Second World War, this highly popular, award-winning drama returns for a third 5-part series and continues to follow the lives and loves of the Land Girls who are working the fields in the Women's Land Army. New Land Girl Iris (Lou Broadbent) joins Joyce (Becci Gemmell) and Connie (Seline Hizli) on the farm, while Lady Ellen (Sophie Ward) turns Hoxley Manor into a hospital after the local military hospital is bombed.
Commissioned by the BBC to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the start of World War II, Land Girls is a tribute to all the women who answered their country's call for service to do their bit on the home front, while their men were overseas, fighting the enemy.
