Just a bit over a month ago we had a story about The L Word - Season 2 DVD set, which had just gone up for pre-order at Amazon (at $48.99, 30% off the SRP). The mega-e-tailer had artwork up at the time, but it looked exactly like poster art used to promote the broadcast of the second season, and was noticably different than the 3-D box art we showed you at the time, which we got directly from Showtime's web site.
This morning Showtime and Ventura Distribution are formally announcing the release, and there isn't much new information (and no extras announced, at least so far), but Showtime has shown that the cover art did indeed change over to the same shot Amazon had shown. It is essentially the same publicity shot, cropped in quite a bit (probably to make it a bit less racy for squeamish retailers).
