After the very successful first season of ABC Family series Kyle XY, both for broadcast and on DVD, the show's second season had an initial order of 13 episodes (which have already aired), plus an additional order of 10 more episodes to be part of the "second half of the second season." Those additional stories are due to begin airing in January 2008, according to the rumors we've heard. They are expected to air fairly quickly, because the studio has already approved a third season, planned to premiere next Summer.
Therefore (so the gossip goes), a Kyle XY - The Complete 2nd Season DVD package is being planned for an Early Spring, 2008 timeframe (March/April-ish). That's the latest word from our very solid inside-the-industry sources, anyway. Schedules are always subject to change, of course, but fans cannot wait to get discs featuring the "Jessi XX" storyline, and it sounds like the studio is planning to accommodate us! None of this is official so far,though, as Disney/Buena Vista has not made any formal announcements for this release. But we'll keep an eye on it, and update you as we find out more. Stay tuned!
