At the end of February we
reported that Image Entertainment - who had taken over from Genius Entertainment as the North American home video distributor for BKN International - would be re-releasing
Kong: The Animated Series - The Animated Series Gift Set. This set,
released by Genius in early 2007, would be re-titled as
Kong: The Animated Series - 5-Disc Collector's Edition but contain the same content (the entire regular series, and the
Return to the Jungle feature-length CGI film). We had a good inkling at the time that the key artwork on the packaging would be changed for the Image's
June 30th re-release, and as it turns out we were correct. Here's the new front cover to this collection:
