The Gosselins sure have been in the news a lot lately. And you know what? Here we're just not going to comment on that situation, because - at least for now - it's just not affected the DVD releases of what a lot of people think is a very enjoyable show! This past Tuesday saw the release of
Jon & Kate Plus Ei8ht - Season 4, Volume 1: The Wedding at general retail in the United States (we've learned that Canadians will unfortunately have to
wait until June 2nd to get it locally; thanks to reader Robin Powell for making us aware of that).
Roughly a month ago we
reported that the rest of the fourth season will come to retail on
July 21st (in the USA, at least) with
Jon & Kate Plus Ei8ht - Season 4, Volume 2: The Big Move. Now the
Amazon pre-order listing has been updated with some additional information that wasn't available before! The list price turns out to be $19.95 (although you can get it at a nice discount by locking in your copy now) for a 2-disc set running 413 minutes long. It don't include package art yet, but it does have this studio description of the release:
In Volume 2 of the fourth season of Jon& Kate Plus Eight , fans follow the Gosselin clan as they finally move into a house large enough for everyone, including some canine additions to the family! In one episode, eight-year-old twins Mady and Cara play Mommy for the Day. In another, they head to the orthodontist for the first time while their six siblings get their teeth cleaned.
The family travels to New York on a press tour and then to Tennessee to volunteer at St. Jude s Hospital. They also find a way to fit in a trip to watch the Harlem Globetrotters in action! But the biggest focus in this Volume is the Gosselin s big move where we watch them say goodbye to the home where the kids have grown up and where fans first fell in love with this unique and fascinating family.
