Our
most recent news post regarding
The Jerry Lewis Show - The Collection on DVD was that it had been moved from a previous release date and rescheduled for November 24th, the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Now that date (and another Tuesday) has passed, and we've gotten e-mails from a number of readers saying that they can't find this in stores. We haven't heard anything from the folks at Infinity Entertainment Group, but the answer probably lies in looking around at various online sellers and asking in local stores.
While a few online sellers here and there show the title as being "in stock" (although we didn't test that by actually placing an order), bigger ones such as Amazon.com (see button link below), along with brick-and-mortar stores like Best Buy, now say that the title will be available next Tuesday, on
December 8th. So it just looks like a short last-minute delay that flew in under the radar. Also keep in mind that many studios of Infinity's size often will ship new releases via overland freight to a retailer's central warehouse, rather than using the much more expensive way of overnight drop-shipping product to individual stores (like the major studios do with their top-of-the-line titles). That's not a shot at Infinity or the other independents, but just our way of spreading a bit of info to our readers about how this aspect of the industry works. Keep your pre-orders plugged in, and you should get your copies before too long!
