The Jerry Lewis Show - New Details Emerge, Including a Later Street Date, for Infinity's Upcoming DVDs

A few weeks ago we reported that Infinity Entertainment is planning an October DVD release for The Jerry Lewis Show. But we were very thin on details at the time, other than an Oct. 13th street date, a $24.98 list price, and a running time of 780 minutes. All of which had been provided by Amazon's pre-order listing.

A number of our reader checked in with us, asking to clarify if this release was from Jerry's 1967-69 NBC series (in color), his earlier 1963 ABC series (in black-and-white), or perhaps even the 2 single-event specials in 1957 and in 1958, which all went by the same name: "The Jerry Lewis Show".

The folks at Infinity Entertainment have now provided retailers with some additional details about their upcoming release, titled The Jerry Lewis Show - The Collection, and we've confirmed that this set will indeed be for the 1967 series. The studio also confirms the price of $24.98 SRP. However, Infinity's official information does show a different running time, of 640 minutes, and a later release date: October 27th. They've also provided the studio description shown below, with additional details about this title. Cover art and finalized specs aren't available just yet, but stay tuned for that. Guest stars include The Osmond Brothers, Flip Wilson, Don Rickles, Joey Heatherton, Janet Leigh, Shirley Jones, Audrey Meadows, Lynn Redgrave, Barbara Feldon, Nanette Fabray, Imogene Coca, Ben Gazzara, Richard Kiley, Laurence Harvey, Harold Sakata, and others.
