Jeremiah - Fascinating New Update for Amazon's Season 2 MOD Release

Listing update says the ship date was two days ago, but also says the item is out of stock at the moment

Early this past December we had a story about how Amazon was taking pre-orders for Jeremiah - Season 2 as an MOD (manufacture-on-demand) DVD, part of the seller's CreateSpace program. No ship date was provided at the time, though: the listing only said "This title has not yet been released. You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives."

Earlier this week the entry briefly disappeared from Amazon, as if the seller had deleted the item. We began to look into the situation, but today we found that the entry was back...but with a couple of noticeable different differences! Now, instead of saying that the title had not yet been released, the stock status of the entry describes it at "Temporarily out of stock. Order now and we'll deliver when available." Further down the listing, in the Product Details section, it now says that the DVD Release Date for the title was this past Wednesday, February 3rd.

The Amazon entry for Jeremiah - Season 2 continues to show the same generic temp picture that we've seen earlier for it and for other MGM releases in the CreateSpace MOD program. Some of our readers who pre-ordered the title say that their order status has changed to say "Shipping Soon," while others say it still shows as an order waiting to be filled (as it has all along). We haven't spoken to anybody at either MGM or Amazon on this, nor to any readers who say they've received a copy. But we wanted to at least let everybody know that the status had changed. Our thanks to reader Matt Grenz for being the first to let us know about the new happenings with this title.
