The Adventures of Brisco Coutny Jr. - The Complete Series, which comes to DVD on July 18th. Now Universal is getting ready to drop the other shoe! They haven't made a formal announcement yet, but they are preparing to make it official that Campbell's other fan-favorite program,
Jack of All Trades - The Complete Series, will also come to DVD this Summer!
The show, for those of you who forget, stars Campbell as an American spy in the Caribbean during the early 1800's. The spy, Jack Stiles (a.k.a. "The Daring Dragoon") takes on a variety of undercover roles in order to help safeguard the interests of the young United States. He often finds himself in the company of a British spy, Angela Dotchin's "Emilia Smythe Rothschild". Along the way he runs into a lot of historical characters, including Benjamin Franklin, James Madison, King George III, the "Marquis de Sade", Catherine the Great, Blackbeard the Pirate, and actor Verne Troyer ("Mini-Me" on the
Austin Powers films) brilliantly cast as Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte!
All 22 episodes from both seasons will be included on this DVD release. We don't have the date or any other details yet, but Universal's password-protected press site has provided the package shot below in their "hot art" section this morning! Stay tuned for more info soon.
