A few weeks ago we
had the scoop about the
July 24th release date for BCI's DVD release of
Isis. Now our friends at the studio have been kind enough to give us our first look at the packaging as well! You can see that below.
When I first saw this, my first reaction was "AWESOME!" This is, in my opinion, some of the sharpest-looking box art you'll see on store shelves. Whoever put that together should be proud. Then, I noticed that the title on the box says "
The Secrets of Isis"...with the plural on "Secrets." Now, it's been more than 20 years since I last saw this show, but I always remembered the alternative longer title (the opening screen simply says "
Isis") as "Secret," in singular mode. I checked around the web to verify my memory, and I actually found it listed both ways in many places (often at the same place). So I checked in with BCI, who told us that "Secrets" is correct. I stand corrected. I bring this up because, with all the contradicting info at the various websites (the IMDB, WikiPedia, various fan sites, Filmation-themed sites, and anything else I could Google up) that I checked, it seems like others are confused as well.
BCI will have an official press release later this month, and this will be a featured title for them at the San Diego Comic Con in July. Stay tuned for more!
