Shout! Factory is bringing the second season of
Ironside, starring Raymond Burr, to DVD this Fall. The classic late '60s drama from NBC ran for eight seasons, and it looks like you'll get to enjoy all 25 episodes from the second season (including the double-length episode "Split Second to an Epitaph," which was the second episode of the season). Yesterday we received word from our friends in the industry to expect this on
October 16th, and later in the day a
a listing at Amazon.com went up. That Amazon listing isn't set to take pre-orders yet, but it does show the same release date.
Among the guest stars you'll see in the second season are Sorrell Booke, Troy Donahue, Randolph Mantooth (as an uncredited extra), Robert Alda, Ricardo Montalban, Diane Ladd, Paul Winfield, Milton Berle, O.J. Simpson (as an uncredited "onlooker"), Anne Baxter, Burgess Meredith, Bill Bixby, Lorraine Gary, Broderick Crawford, Richard Anderson, Lynn Hamilton, Mary Ann Mobley, Gary Collins, Susan Howard, Gerald S. O'Loughlin, Francine York, and Edward Asner.
