Several weeks ago we
reported that Genius Entertainment was planning DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc releases of
Iron Man: Armored Adventures - Volume 1. The show, which airs on NickToons in the USA and TeleToon up in Canada, would be available in both formats on
October 20th, and Amazon listings were later added to confirm this on both formats.
Now we're told that Genius Entertainment, who would be distributing this for Method Films, has removed the Blu-ray Disc format listing from their upcoming schedule. And
Amazon's Blu-ray entry for the title no longer shows any date, but rather says "
This title has not yet been released. You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives." They're still taking advance orders for the BD release, but they simply don't tell you when it would ship.
The DVD version, however, is still on track for October 20th, and
the DVD listing at Amazon remains unchanged. We've asked to find out if this is merely a delay for the Blu-ray release, or if it has been "canceled" outright. However, no immediate info is available to answer that question. We're also still waiting on package art for this release, too. Stay tuned, and we'll update you as we find out more!
