Teen genius Tony Stark has just finished his greatest invention: the Iron Man armor. But before he gets to show his dad, Tony's world is shattered. His father, his home, his entire life are all gone, and Tony is left picking up the pieces. But with a little help from his friends Rhodey and Pepper, he begins to unravel the mystery surrounding the attack on his father. And as IRON MAN, Tony Stark takes his first steps toward becoming a hero. Volume 1 includes the first 6 episodes of the massively popular series.
From the new series airing on NickToons in the USA and TeleToon up in Canada, Genius Entertainment is planning to release
Iron Man: Armored Adventures - Volume 1 on DVD and high-definition Blu-ray Disc. Both versions arrive on
October 20th, running 132 minutes for the first 6 episodes of the show.
This is the first release of the latest animated series on home video, other than an episode which appeared on a Walmart-exclusive bonus disc that was connected with the home video release of last year's
Iron Man theatrical film. A second live-action box office film is in the works for 2010, but this series isn't connected with those movies. Rather, they retro-fit the classic comic book legend into a story that shows Tony Stark inventing the Iron Man armored suit during his teenage years. It's worked, as the show has been extremely popular on NickToons!
The cost of
Iron Man: Armored Adventures - Volume 1 on DVD will be $16.95 SRP, and on high-def Blu-ray Disc the price is planned at $29.95 SRP. No specs or other details are available so far, nor is cover art. But stay tuned and we'll update you further just as soon as we can!
