A month ago we
let you know that Genius Entertainment and Method Films would be releasing
Iron Man: Armored Adventures - Volume 1 on
October 20th. The original announcement was for both
DVD ($16.95 SRP) and high-def
Blu-ray Disc ($29.95 SRP) formats.
However, last week we unfortunately had to
follow up with a report that the Blu-ray version taken off the schedule. And that the Amazon listing for the high-def release was no longer listing a release date, even though the e-tailer is still taking pre-orders for it!
Today Genius has provided package art for the DVD release, and a trade ad showing both the DVD and Blu-ray versions. The ad still indicates that the Oct. 20th release date applies to both formats, but Genius still isn't showing the high-def version on their schedule (so we're not counting on seeing it hit the street on that date). Still, we've got a look at that trade ad for you, plus a close-up on the Blu-ray box art as well. Note that the ad says that the artwork is subject to change, but since Genius began circulating the DVD package art separately today, this is probably what you'll see on store shelves. Check it out:
