A bit over a week ago CBS DVD and Paramount Home Entertainment
announced the
May 6th release of the long-awaited, highly anticipated DVDs for
The Invaders - The 1st Season. This morning the studio has delivered our very first look at the packaging for this 5-disc, 17-episode set, and you can see it below.
We also want to assure our readers that the folks at the studio have been advised of fan concerns about whether the first episode, "Beachhead", would be the complete original 75-minute version instead of the edited syndication version. They've also been told of fans desire to make sure all episodes are as originally broadcast (and have neither edited nor sped up versions put on these discs), and that fans would love to have Roy Thinnes' participation on extras for these DVDs. While we have no way of knowing yet if the studio will do anything with that feedback, we can tell you that the studio has received the info through at least a couple of sources. It's likely we won't know what we're actually getting, though, until the street date!
