We've known for about a month now that Universal is planning a
July 18th release of
The Incredible Hulk - The Complete 1st Season, thanks to show-runner Ken Johnson keeping everyone updated at his personal website. Now the studio has formally announced the title this morning, confirming the date Johnson reported.
Expect a 4-DVD set with each disc being single-sided. Running time is 11 hours 33 minutes. Video is in the original full frame 1.33:1, and audio is in the original English Mono. English subtitles are also provided. We don't have the cover art yet, but we do know that the packaging is in the slim snap-cases with an outer slipcover. Cost is $39.98 SRP.
The studio doesn't give any further info than that, but thanks to Johnson's web site
we know that the set will contain both pilot telefilms, the 10 regular weekly episodes from the short first season, and a bonus episode ("Stop The Presses") from season 2. Folks that missed the 2003 DVD release of
The Incredible Hulk - The Original Television Premiere will be glad to know that two extras from that single-disc release will make it onto the season set: Johnson's commentary track on the first telefilm, and Lou Ferrigno's interview/special introduction. Stay tuned for box art.
