Two weeks ago today saw the DVD releases of
the 3rd and 4th seasons of the classic TV series
The Incredible Hulk, starring Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno. These came out in time to tie in with last week's box office debut of the new
Incredible Hulk theatrical film starring Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth and William Hurt.
We
reported back in January that the 5th and final season of the television show will be coming to DVD in
October, with the final 7 regular weekly episodes of the classic series. But if you're lucky, you won't have to wait to catch a DVD with the season premiere episode of the show's last season.
I was keeping my nose out of many weekly ad circulars last week, to give my family a better chance to surprise me on Father's Day this past Sunday. So I overlooked the fact that Best Buy was giving away a "Free Exclusive Sneak Peek" DVD of
The Incredible Hulk film (and some other upcoming film,
Wanted), in order to promote the movie's premiere. I spotted it in my local store yesterday, and picked it up with an unrelated item: the sampler disc rung up in Best Buy's registers as $0.00, so it truly cost me nothing.
When I stuck it in last night, I was delighted to see that it contained a bonus episode from the BixbyFerrigno program's fifth season, "The Phenom," with appearances by Anne Lockhart (
Battlestar Galactica), Dick O'Neill (
Cagney & Lacey) and longtime TV show guest star Ken Swofford. But if you want this, don't delay...the supplies of these were quite low at my local Best Buy, and I imagine that's the case at many other locations as well. Get yours while you can! Here's what to look for:
