A month and a half ago we showed you
a first look at official package art (seen again below) for
Hung - The Complete 1st Season on both
DVD and high-def
Blu-ray Disc formats. These have been available to pre-order from Amazon for a while, but despite that we haven't known the release date for these sets...until now, that is! The official announcement hasn't come through just yet, but the word from HBO themselves is that both of these versions will be in stores on
June 22nd. Cost is $49.99 SRP for the Blu-ray Disc version, and $39.98 SRP for the standard DVD set, but you can pre-order them at a discount. Stay tuned for updates if we find out anything more!
UPDATE (3/4): This morning HBO and distributor Warner Home Video have officially announced the title, confirming the date, cost and package art we've already provided for both versions. They also show that Bonus Material will include a Featurette, Audio Commentary, "and more!" on both formats of the title. Each version is a 2-disc set running 315 minutes long. Video is widescreen (in high-def on the Blu-ray, of course). Audio for the DVD is in English Dolby Surround 5.1 format, with options for French 2.0 and Spanish 2.0 as well. Audio on the Blu-ray is English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, plus the French 2.0 and Spanish 2.0 options are present there, too. Subtitles aren't mentioned on the DVD info (which may just be an oversight), but on the listing for the Blu-ray version the subtitle options listed are Dutch, English, Spanish, French, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish.
