Last week we
broke the word that the BBC and distributor Warner Home Video are preparing a DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc release on
July 20th for
Being Human - Season 1 (a great tie-in to the USA version of the show, coming to Syfy later this year). Today the studios formally announced these releases to press and retailers, and in the process they provided an online video trailer that you can see below.
We reported at the time that "all six episodes" of the first season will be included, and fans asked whether that count was correct, since adding the pilot to the regular season episodes brings the count to "seven." Some fans also questioned whether the original broadcast music would be included, since overseas releases had some changes to that. We submitted those questions to our contacts at the BBC,and they've confirmed that the pilot will NOT be included on this release (no reason was provided). Our contact is still looking into the official answer to the music situation, but frankly we're anticipating that there will turn out to be alterations in the soundtrack. If we find out differently we'll let you know!
