Full House - Season 6 Press Release

Posted by Gord Lacey

The Four-Disc Set Includes All 24 Episodes from the Sixth Season of this Top Selling Classic TV on DVD Franchise!

BURBANK, CA (November 28, 2006) - The Tanners are back and as unpredictable as ever when Warner Home Video releases the sixth season of the top selling classic, Full House, on DVD March 27, 2007. Full House: The Complete Sixth Season will include all 24 episodes from the show's sixth season in a four-disc set and will retail for $29.98 SRP.

Set in San Francisco, Full House chronicles the adventures of the Tanners, an unconventional family headed by Danny Tanner (Bob Saget), a doting, widowed father who's left to raise his daughters. With his brother-in-law, the wanna-be rock star "Uncle Jesse" Katsopolis (John Stamos), and his best friend, the stand-up comic Joey Gladstone (Dave Coulier), by his side, Danny learns all about parenting three young girls including eldest daughter D.J. (Candace Cameron), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and the baby of the family, Michelle (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen).

In season six, love is all around as Danny struggles to maintain a long distance relationship with Vicky (Gail Edwards, It's A Living, Blossom) and D.J. experiences her first serious relationship with Steve (Scott Weinger, Aladdin, What I Like About You), a boy Michelle tries to marry! Stephanie begins to come of age as she makes an important choice that could save a friend's life, and she tries to teach the family she's not a D.J. clone. Jesse and Joey become radio DJs, Michelle learns you can't get everything you want, Becky (Lori Loughlin) and Jesse decide on pre-schools for the twins and the whole family heads to Disney World! All this and much more laughter and fun are included in the sixth season, available on DVD for the first time.

"Full House continues to be a popular franchise on DVD because the values and ethics the show instills are timeless," commented Rosemary Markson, WHV Vice President, TV Marketing. She continued, "Girls and boys today are growing up alongside D.J., Stephanie and Michelle just as the past generation did a decade ago. Whether they're like D.J., struggling to balance family and friends with a new love interest, or Stephanie, learning that sometimes you have to spill a secret in order to help a friend or Michelle, dealing with change when a best friend moves away, there's a character or conflict in the story that everyone can relate to." She added, "Technologies and pop culture may be changing, but the heart of this show, which is family, will forever be a staple. Full House is a series the whole family can watch, and enjoy, together."

Full House originally appeared on ABC on September 22, 1987 and ran until May 23, 1995. Today, the show airs in syndication on Nick at Nite and ABC Family. It continues to rank in the top 5 for girls ages 8-15 and in the top 10 for boys ages 8-11.
