The Fifth Season of this Top Selling Classic TV on DVD Franchise Features all 26 Episodes in a Four-Disc Must-Have Set!
BURBANK, CA - The Tanner gang returns, just in time for the holidays, when Warner Home Video releases Full House: The Complete Fifth Season on DVD December 12, 2006. The four-disc set includes all 26 episodes from season five and is priced at $29.98 SRP.
Set in San Francisco, Full House chronicles the adventures of the Tanners, an unconventional family headed by Danny Tanner (Bob Saget), a doting, widowed father who's left to raise his daughters. With his brother-in-law, the wanna-be rock star "Uncle Jesse" Katsopolis (John Stamos), and his best friend, the stand-up comic Joey Gladstone (Dave Coulier), by his side, Danny learns all about parenting three young girls including eldest daughter D.J. (Candace Cameron), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and the baby of the family Michelle (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen).
Season five continues the laughter and fun as Jesse and Rebecca (Lori Laughlin) welcome twin sons into the Tanner household. In addition, Danny is chosen bachelor of the month, D.J. learns to drive, Michelle turns five and Stephanie moves into the bathroom! Guest stars are aplenty as Gail Edwards (It's A Living, The Family Man) stops in as Danny's temporary co-host and potential new love interest, Tahj Mowry (Kim Possible, Smart Guy) recurs as Michelle's best pal and Stephanie's crush, singer Tommy Page, surprises her by performing at her birthday party and kissing big sis D.J.! With no predictability in sight, viewers won't want to miss the latest antics of the Tanners in the complete fifth season available for the first time on DVD.
"Full House continues to be a success on DVD, due to its loyal fan base of both original viewers and new young viewers," commented Rosemary Markson, WHV Vice President, TV Marketing. She added, "One of the things that makes Full House so popular is that the show offers great family values. Season five continues the theme of family, as the adults adjust to the growing clan and continue to face the challenges before them with humor, and most importantly, with love. Year after year, Full House remains the kind of quality program that the whole family can enjoy."
The show originally premiered on ABC on September 22, 1987 and ran until May 23, 1995. Today, Full House airs in syndication on Nick at Nite and ABC Family. It continues to rank in the top 5 for girls, ages 8-15, and in the top 10 for boys, ages 8-11.
