Following up on last December's release of
the first DVD volume, Lionsgate has informed retailers to plan on a
July 1st street date for
House of Payne - Volume 2: Episodes 21-40. The Tyler Perry series, which airs on TBS, will come on 3 DVDs sporting twenty episodes (429 minutes) shown in full frame video, with audio soundtracks in English 5.1, English 2.0 and subtitles in English and Spanish. It will also be closed captioned for the hearing impaired.
Additionally, bonus material on this set is tentatively planned to include a "Pops" Character Profile Featurette, a "Firehouse Follies" Featurette, and Bloopers. There will also be Voice-overs on the menu screens, to liven things up even more! Cost will be just $29.98 SRP, and here is the studio description followed by the box art:
The house that Tyler Perry built is back with episodes 21 through 40, each one a comedy gem. Curtis "Pops" Payne is crankier and funnier than ever. As Fire Chief of Atlanta's Engine Company Five, Curtis keeps his crew cracking up with his priceless observations. His grown son Calvin drops by the house at will when he wants money, a home-cooked meal, or his laundry done. C.J., his nephew, and C.J.'s kids, Malik and Jazmine, have permanently moved in. There goes the peaceful life Curtis was looking forward to sharing with his beloved wife Ella! This smash-hit sitcom fearlessly takes on the topics confronting everyday families.
