Last week we
let you know that a new DVD release was apparently in the works for
Hilarious House of Frightenstein up in Canada, per a pre-order listing at Amazon.ca that one of our readers tipped us off to. And we owe our thanks again to the same reader, Greg Cannon, who's apparently keeping an eye on this for us! He's let us know that the listing there (see the button link below) has been updated with package art. Art that answers a few of our questions!
This
March 31st release is properly called
Hilarious House of Frightenstein - Igormania, and with that title we can assume that it's going to be a "best of" release with episodes focusing on Igor (Fishka Rais). Logos on the spine confirm that this release - like the previous 3-disc set this past autumn - is coming from Anchor Bay Canada and Critical Mass. Although a disc count isn't provided, the price of CA$16.97 SRP indicates that it's probably a single-disc release.
