Near the end of January we
reported that Davis-Panzer would be continuing their Blu-ray Disc releases (and have pre-order listings available, exclusively online) with both
Highlander: The Series - Season 2 and also
Highlander: The Series - Season 3 sets. At the time, both were scheduled to begin shipping on the same day, by April 30th. But today we learned from the studio that both will be delayed, and that no specific new ship date has been determined yet.
The primary reason for the change is that Davis-Panzer feels that the
Season 2 bonus material is too repetitive from the prior DVD version ("been there, seen that"), despite already making plans to add exclusive-to-BD content mentioned in our previous report, plus some new actor interviews. The studio wants additional time to create more new extras and they mainly want to include material submitted by you, the fans! How can YOU participate? Details are available at the

Right now we're assuming that everything else (specs, pricing, etc.) will remain as reported, including the idea that
Season 2 and
Season 3 will be available to ship on the same day. Davis-Panzer hasn't informed us of any changes to those plans (but if something changes, especially in regard to
Season 2 and
Season 3 shipping at the same time, then we frankly won't be too surprised). Package art for these titles have not yet been made available yet, either, so stay tuned for that as well as other further developments!
