Last week Universal released
the HD DVD version of Heroes - Season 1, alongside the standard DVD edition. We have something we want to pass along to people who have purchased this release, or are planning to purchase it.
We've become aware of an occasional problem with Heroes on HD DVD, where it might lock up. It is VERY rare, and affects few people from what we understand. The issue is not centered on any specific player, as people with any given player can have the product work fine, while other users with the exact same player may experience the lock-ups. Again, it is very rare. The popular theory is that the affected users' firmware might be out-of-date. So, if you are one of those rare people affected by this, our first advice to you is to check the firmware version on your player. We contacted Universal to ask for a statement. They tell us that they are looking into it. If we find out anything further, we'll let you know.
