Several weeks ago we
reported that VEI (Visual Entertainment Inc. of Canada) was preparing a "
Hell's Kitchen - Seasons 1 to 4: Limited Collector's Edition" DVD set, bringing the first four seasons of the program in their "Raw and Uncensored" (un-bleeped) versions in a special cookbook-style package. However, VEI has informed us that this release is now on hold, with no new release date set just now. However, they are of course moving forward with individual season set releases of the 3rd and 4th seasons of Chef Gordon Ramsay's hit reality series, both arriving in North America before the year is over.
As
previously said, the DVD release of
Hell's Kitchen - Season 3: Raw and Uncensored is available in Canada beginning TODAY,
August 10th, as a 3-disc set, with bonus material. It's in-stock and
available to order from Amazon.ca right now. VEI informs us that this title will begin selling in the USA on September 21st (just in time for the Fox Network's broadcast premiere of the 8th season!), but we haven't seen any pre-order listings at Amazon's state-side branch just yet. List price is $24.98 SRP in the USA, and CA$24.95 SRP in Canada; Amazon does of course provide discounts off of that.
On the other hand, VEI's distributor for the United States has got an
Amazon.com pre-order listing for a separate release of
Hell's Kitchen - Season 4: Raw and Uncensored on DVD! That distributor, by the way, is Millennium Media Services; they are a joint venture of First Look Studios and Sony DADC (Digital Audio Disc Corporation). According to VEI, and confirmed by the Amazon listing, the release date in the USA is
November 9th. VEI tells us that Canadians can expect it to be available a bit sooner, on October 26th, and that a listing at Amazon.ca for it should go up in the not-too-distant future. As with the third season, the cost is $24.98 SRP in the USA, and CA$24.95 SRP in Canada...minus Amazon's discounts. Below is your first look at the
