Late this past week we reported that Mill Creek Entertainment had acquired the rights from to discontinued DVD releases from now-defunct BCI Eclipse for TV shows such as
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (2002), the Taye Diggs series
Day Break, and the classic Japanese import
Ultraman. We didn't have package art for you at the time, but now Amazon has added the box covers to their listings for each of the titles involved.
Mill Creek has apparently decided to go with re-using the key box art used on BCI's releases. The
Ultraman - The Complete Series cover is identical
on Mill Creek's set to the one
from BCI's discontinued release. For
Day Break - The Complete Series, the releases also use identical art on the
Mill Creek Ent. and
BCI Eclipse versions.
For
He-Man, Mill Creek's 10-episode
"Origins" release will use the same cover design as
BCI's Volume 1 set. And Mill Creek's
Complete Series package will re-use the box art graphics that had been seen on a BCI-produced (and therefore discontinued) Best Buy-exclusive release that bundled all three BCI volumes together into an outer slipcover. So there's nothing actually new in the way of artwork here.
We do have a closer look for you, though, of Mill Creek's upcoming
He-Man DVD box covers:
