Hawaii Five-O is long-awaited by fans for DVD release, with much anticipation but little word from the studio about whether or not this will happen. But "The Hawaii Five-O Home Page" website has
posted news that it may be on the radar for next year:

FIVE-O COMING ON DVD?
Someone wrote to me recently: "Mike, there was an article in [a national newspaper] about 3 weeks ago about Paramount/Viacom releasing TV DVD's. I called the journalist who wrote the article, and amazingly enough, she picked up the phone. I asked her about Five-O, and so she actually called Viacom for me, and called me back. She said Five-O is slated to be released on DVD in 2006."
"A national newspaper" article about 3 weeks ago, eh? Perhaps they're referring to the Feb. 23rd article in
The Wall Street Journal, which we discussed in several stories here at TVShowsOnDVD, including
one about Happy Days.
