Hardcastle and McCormick - Complete 3rd Season on DVD? Yes, it's coming, we're told by Toronto-based VEI (Visual Entertainment Inc.). As with their first two seasons on DVD, this will be another Canada-only distribution. But, as always, anything released in Canada is still "Region 1," which means if you can get your hands on it and import it to the USA, it will work on all DVD players sold in the States.
Some readers have told us that they've heard of a "November" timetable for this item, but VEI tells us that the best they can plan for right now is "Late 2007." And even that's not a promise that it will make it out this year, as the inside scoop is that they are working with older source material, and may need to put in more time producing these discs if the need arises.
It will be worth waiting for, though, as the 22 final episodes of Hardcastle and McCormick feature more fun adventures in the "Coyote" supercar, with great guest stars popping into various episodes. Here are some of the names you can look for: Terry Bradshaw, Jonathan Banks, Richard Herd, Joe Regalbuto, P.J. Soles, Nancy Parsons, Faith Ford, Bill Macy, Jason Bernard, Tim O'Connor, Dan Lauria, Rosemary Clooney, Teresa Ganzel, Lyle Waggoner, Richard Anderson, Robert Picardo, and TV legend Steve Lawrence.
