After last November's release of the third season set, Happy Days fans have been anxious about whether they would see continued DVD releases of Richie, The Fonz, Potsie, Ralph Malph and the rest of the gang. Some have even taken to calling the studio to ask about it themselves, because they can't wait to see "Pinky Tuscadero" on DVD, and "Al Delvecchio" as well. In case you forget, Pinky was a romantic interest of Fonzie's, and played a key role in the three-part season debut for the 4th year of the show. Al Molinaro (The Odd Couple) first appeared this season as "Al", who took over ownership of Arnold's Diner from Pat Morita's character. .
Also keep an eye out for guest stars like Conrad Janis (Mork & Mindy), Charlene Tilton (Dallas), Marc McClure (Superman, Back to the Future), Nancy Walker (Rhoda), Dick Van Patten (Eight is Enough), Laurette Spang (Battlestar Galactica), and a brief re-appearance by Pat Morita (The Karate Kid) as "Arnold".
We've gotten e-mails recently from a handful of readers (our thanks to each of you), saying that they've asked about it at Paramount Home Entertainment's customer service line, and were told to expect the DVD release of Happy Days - The Complete 4th Season on December 9th. We've talked to industry sources about it, who spoke to the studio and confirmed that this IS currently the date on their schedule. However, we've also been told that the date is not finalized, and could still move. So pencil it in on your calendars for now, and we'll keep you updated. Stay tuned!
