Several weeks ago CBS/Paramount
announced that
October 11th will see the release of
Gunsmoke - The 5th Season, Volume 1 on DVD. Pricing has now revealed to be $36.98 SRP for a 3-disc set, but Amazon.com is accepting pre-orders at a discount (see button link below). We had an early, flat look at the cover art at the time...one which was rather dull and lifeless to boot. Now the studio has sent out a nice, richly-colored high-res 3D picture of the packaging. It's pretty gorgeous:
