Hot on the trail of
July's release for
Season 4, Vol. 2, CBS DVD and Paramount Home Entertainment have today announced that
November 30th will see the DVD debut of
Have Gun Will Travel - Season 5, Vol. 1. After taking the fourth season off, actor Kam Tong returned to the cast as "Hey Boy" for the show's final two seasons. Familiar faces among the guest stars joining Tong and star Richard Boone included the likes of George Kennedy, Harry Carey Jr., Hal Needham, Charles Bronson(!) and many more. Details, pricing and cover art for this new release haven't been made available yet, but stay tuned and we'll update you just as quickly as possible!
UPDATE: CBS/Paramount has sent retailers an early look at the front cover art for this 3-disc, 19-episode set, and some of our friends in the industry have passed that picture along to us. We've got a look at it for you below, but please keep in mind that it could be subject to change. The studio's info to retailers points out that "
several fifth season episodes were directed by acclaimed actor Richard Boone, and Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry penned several episodes as well!"
