BURBANK, CA - One of television's best loved families, the Seavers, returns for another laughter-filled season on DVD when Warner Home Video (WHV) brings Season Two of Growing Pains to DVD April 26, 2011. Titled Growing Pains: The Complete Second Season, this release will retail for $29.98 SRP.

Growing Pains stars teen idol Kirk Cameron (Mike Seaver), Alan Thicke (Jason Seaver), Joanna Kerns (Maggie Seaver), Tracey Gold (Carol Seaver) and Jeremy Miller (Ben Seaver). The show follows the story of the Seavers, a contemporary couple living in Long Island, NY with their three children. Maggie Seaver, the matriarch of the household, has recently rejoined the workforce as a journalist, leaving her husband Jason, a practicing psychiatrist, to juggle his responsibilities to his patients and his three children by working from home.

In the second season of Growing Pains, Mike (Kirk Cameron) receives a car from his parents after he's named Employee of the Month, but when he's fired from his job, he has no idea how to break the news to them. Mike is not the only one with secrets. Brainy Carol (Tracey Gold) wants everyone to think she has a romantic extracurricular life with a hunky football hero. What is up with 10-year-old Ben (Jeremy Miller) and 67 phone calls that were made to an erotic phone line?

"Growing Pains is one of the most beloved comedies from the 1980s. Just as funny and relatable today as ever, the show continues to have a strong appeal with viewers," said Rosemary Markson, WHV Vice President, TV and Special Interest Marketing. She added, "Fans have been asking for and anticipating the release of subsequent seasons of Growing Pains, and we are delighted to bring them more. This is a must-own title for classic TV fans and anyone who appreciates great family comedies."

Growing Pains originally aired on ABC from September 1985 to April 1992 and went on to become a very successful and popular family comedy for seven seasons. Over its run, it garnered two Emmy Award wins and three additional nominations, and three Golden Globe nominations. Prior to its release on DVD, Growing Pains aired in syndication on The Disney Channel and ABC Family.
