A few weeks ago we
posted news that Anchor Bay was planning on a
November 7th release date for
Grounded for Life - Season 4, the next-to-last season of the show. The studio actually hasn't formally announced that yet; our information came to us via
Amazon.com's pre-order listing, where the $39.98 SRP item, a 4-DVD set, is currently pre-selling for $29.99 after discount.
Recently we received a message from the show's Co-Creator and one of its Executive Producers, Mike Schiff, who's been a great friend to TVShowsOnDVD and kept in touch with us about these releases. We appreciate it more than we can say, Mike! In his latest e-mail, he gives us this exclusive heads-up about commentaries on that 4th Season DVD set...and for the not-yet-scheduled 5th Season as well!
Just wanted to mention that a little over a month ago, we recorded five commentaries for the season 4 set (and while we were at it, one for the series finale for the season 5 set). We finally got Donal Logue (Sean Finnerty) on a free day, along with other first time cast participants Bret Harrison (Brad O'Keefe) and Griffin Frazen (Jimmy Finnerty). Always dependable Lynsey Bartilson (Lily Finnerty) was also there, along with writers Chris Kelly and Erica Rivinoja.
We're VERY glad to hear that Donal, Griffin and Bret made it for the commentaries at last. If you haven't listened to the commentaries on the previous releases, give them a shot. Even folks who don't usually enjoy commentaries as an extra find these to be pretty entertaining.
