Two weeks ago we
had the scoop for you, that
September 16th will be Lionsgate's release date for the long awaited
Will & Grace - Season 8 DVD set. And that, on the same day, they'll also release the equally anticipated
Will & Grace - The Complete Series DVD collection. Now we've got your first (albeit a tiny one) at the packages for each of these, plus new details about the pricing, specs and bonus material for both releases.
Will & Grace - Season 8 will cost $44.98 SRP, but you can
pre-order it from DVDEmpire for $32.87 as of this writing. Video is presented in full screen, and an English 5.1 audio track is included. English and Spanish subtitles are on board as well, and it is also closed captioned for the hearing impaired. Running time is 515 minutes for 23 episodes, plus you'll get a nice range of bonus material. Those extras start with Audio Commentary from David Kohan, Max Mutchnick, James Burrows and Eric McCormack. There are also Outtakes from the final season, Interviews with the Cast called "The Last Words," and themed Featurettes including a Featurette called "The Final Bow".
Will & Grace - The Complete Series comes packaged in a collectible cube-shaped display box, sporting all 8 seasons from the Emmy Award-winning series on a total of 33 DVDs, including a brand-new disc featuring bonus material not available separately. Among those new extras are newly-recorded audio commentaries with the cast and crew (including David Kohan, Max Mutchnick and James Burrows), exclusively produced themed featurettes, a photo gallery, a
Will & Grace quiz, an exclusive episode booklet and more! All of that is in addition to all extras found on the separate previously-released season sets (note that the new supplements, especially the booklet and the new commentary tracks, are obviously not confined to only the new disc!). Specs are listed the same for this package as for the
Season 8 set, above. This
Complete Series gift set is timed to the 10th anniversary of the show's debut, and will cost $249.98 SRP...but as of this writing, you can
pre-order it from DVDEmpire for a discounted cost of $197.48.
