Picking up where the
1998 Roland Emmerich/Dean Devlin motion picture (starring Matthew Broderick) left off,
Godzilla: The Series is a fast-paced animated adventure series that pits humanity against a new generation of giant monsters. Starring the vocal talents of Ian Ziering (
Beverly Hills 90210, Spider-Man: The New Animated Series), Joe Pantoliano (
The Sopranos), Paget Brewster (
Cheer Up), this aired on FOX from 1998 - 2000.
Now, Columbia TriStar is bringing this series to DVD, timing it for release with other
Godzilla titles in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Godzilla films. It is rated TV-Y7, and so is suitable for children ages 7 and up...a great way for children to enjoy the fun of Godzilla!
This DVD features a three-part monster hunting adventure from the cartoon's first season: "Monster Wars" Parts 1, 2 and 3. Can the present-day Godzilla bring himself to attack his "Mother," or will he turn against the team? (synopsis courtesy of
