Yesterday CBS/Paramount
announced that
January 19th will see the DVD release of
Girlfriends - The Final Season. This is the 8th and last season of the terrific sitcom that ran on UPN (which later merged with The WB and became The CW, near the end of the show's run). We've learned from our retail contacts that this will be a 2-disc set, and that the studio has not informed them of any bonus material for it. An early look at the front cover art was also sent to retailers (could be subject to change), and our friends have been kind enough to send it our way:
