Late last year we first passed along Image Entertainment's announcement that the Sci Fi Channel's
Ghost Hunters International - The Complete 1st Season would be coming to DVD in February 2009. However, by January we had
posted an update that the release had been delayed, with a conflicting set of information. Image continued to show the listing, but with a "filler" date that read "12/12/12" (i.e., no specific date). However, Amazon's pre-order listing showed that it would ship on May 19th, which is this coming Tuesday.
Now it seems that Image has removed the listing from the schedule altogether, at least for the time being. Our retail sources aren't a hundred percent on this info, but feel that this is a postponement, instead of an outright cancellation. Amazon seems to agree: the pre-order listing is still there (see button link below), but it now has no release date at all. Instead it simply says "
This title has not yet been released. You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives.." Our thanks to reader "Chris" for the heads-up about this change. If and when a new release date comes to light, we'll be sure to pass it along to everybody!
