Last November we
reported that Image Entertainment and Big Vision Entertainment were planning a release of
The Absolute Best Of The Ghost Hunters on Blu-ray Disc, the first release of the Sci Fi Channel's series on high definition disc. The expected release date in the original announcement was January 6th, and then the title was delayed until April 21st (a schedule change that we unfortunately had overlooked reporting here; our apologies to the show's fans!). Now Image has pushed the release date back once more. The new release date is
October 6th, just a few weeks before Halloween. No reason was given for the new delay; it could be simply to tie in with the holiday, or they could need more time to produce the release. Or it could be a combination of these factors, or others. Pricing and contents are still the same, according to Image. Stay tuned and we'll update you if we find out anything further!
